Tripp-Works prices begin with what it actually takes to make an object. We consider materials, purchased components, shop time, tooling, fixtures, finishing, assembly, packaging, and the other direct costs involved in producing it in small quantities. We also recognize the less visible work behind every finished piece: developing the idea, making prototypes, solving production problems, refining the process, and occasionally rejecting parts that do not meet our expectations.
We do not begin by assigning an object an inflated “collectible” value and working backward. Neither do we price against mass-produced goods made by entirely different methods. Our prices reflect the practical cost of making original objects thoughtfully and sustainably in our own shop.
When the work becomes easier or more efficient, that matters too. The objective is straightforward: a fair price for the buyer and a fair return for making the object.
